'when you help me,God will bless you'

when Emily Wanjiru took to the stage to present her solo poem last week at National drama festivals,little did she know that her solo poem would open showers of blessings to her and her family aswell. 'mvua hii'(name of the poem)meaning this rain, attracted alot of people including the head of state President Uhuru muigai Kenyatta.This poem talked about the chalenges she goes through every day and this touched the president's heart.When president lead her story on a daily paper, he send his team to Emily's home to assist them with bedings and food stuffs.Her mother aged 22 and her grand mother aged 36, are now living in a two bedroom house and the rent has been paid for two years.Emily's teacher said that she used to practice this poem even on empty stomach but her determination kept her going.Emily told the president that 'one thing am sure of, when you help me,God will bless you'.President kenyatta encouraged her to continue capitalising on her talent. Emily will get full scholarship of her primary education after she finishes her top class this year.

Four people were killed two of them being police officers.This is after a suspected vehicle that was being chased by police was taken to Pangani police station where the bomb went off.This comes barely 3 days after internal security minister said that the level of crimes in Nairobi has gone down up to a zero level.

STILL MISSING

287 passengers from a Ferry that sank off South Korea are still missing and only 1 of 46 lifeboats were deployed according to one report. As the ferry sank, the captain told the passengers that 'am sorry'.

CURBING INSECURITY

Following the attack that took place in Mombasa afew weeks ago, the Government decided to take tough measures in order to enhace security in kenya. All the the foreigners are being deported back to their countries while others are still being screened. Human rights activists have termed this act as in human. Deputy President William Ruto said that the government will not step back in this since most kenyans are backing this operation up.On the other hand, some leaders and politicians are saying that this is inhuman and unconstitutional.  It is the high time the government and politicians come together and come up with final solution on this matter instead of dividing themselves.

A man killed by the mob after stubbing his mother inlaw

A middle aged man was last night killed at Kawangware by the members of the public after beating his mother in law before stubbing her.The woman was taken to the nearby hospital for treatment.The cause of this action is yet to be established. Police said they are investigating the matter.
